Ministry of Commerce Organizes Roadshows in Indonesia To Attract ASEAN Visitors to RHVAC 2019 and E&E 2019

The Department of lntemational Trade Promotion (DlTP), Ministry of Commerce joins forces with The Federation of Thai Industries to organize a press conference of Bangkok Refrigeration, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning 2019 (Bangkok RHVAC 2019) and Bangkok Electric and Electronics 2019 (Bangkok E&E 2019) with an aim to recruit exhibitors and attract visitors from Indonesia. The trade fairs to be held from 25 to 28 September 2019 at BITEC Bangna are expected to attract over 14,000 buyers and traders from ASEAN and around the world.

Bangkok RHVAC and Bangkok E&E, organized by the Department of lntemational Trade Promotion. Ministry of Commerce, have been accepted as one of the world’s top five biggest fairs of its kind. This years fair will feature the “ONE STOP SOLUTIONS” theme showcasing its strength as the significant trade fairs featuring the most complete range of relevant products and services from the upstream to downstream such as plastic parts, steel and rubber parts, motors, compressors. coils, various models of air conditioners, refrigerators, electrical appliances, as well as innovative products.

Mr. Chanthapat Panjamanond, Head of Industrial Product Division, Office of Agricultural and Industrial Trade Promotion, Department of lntemational Trade Promotion. revealed: “Bangkok RHVAC 2019 and Bangkok E&E 2019 have grown continuously. The exhibition venue of a 9,000-square meter in the first year will be expanded to 23,000 in 2019. It is anticipated that this year’s fair will gather 400 exhibitors who will showcase products at over 1,000 booths and attract over 14,000 traders and visitors from around the world. In 2017. Bangkok RHVAC and Bangkok E&E featured 332 exhibitors from various countries including Asia and Europe and showcased products and services covering 953 exhibition booths. The fair gained a satisfactory success gathering a total of 11,351 visitors from Thailand and overseas.

Mr. Chanthapat also said: “Bangkok RHVAC and Bangkok E&E is a global forum to showcase both industries’ potential. Thailand has been known as one of the world’s manufacturing base for air conditioners and refrigerators as well as electric and electronics products. Today, Thailand becomes the world’s number one hard disk drive manufacturer, the second top air conditioner manufacturer, and the fourth top refrigeration manufacturer. Many popular brands choose to manufacture their products in Thailand as they’re well aware of our strength -that is the fully integrated supply chain from the upstream to downstream. Bangkok RHVAC 2019 and Bangkok E&E 2019 will surely be the ‘One Stop Solutions’ that bring buyers to meet manufacturers and will feature a complete range of products covering all the industries’ supply chain all in one place.”

Mr. Athit Thienlikhit, the representative of Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Club, The Federation of Thai industries, said: “Our world-standard air conditioning factories manufacture household and industrial products for both local and international brands. Thailand is the hub of the air-conditioning supply chain with various products to offer including copper wires, compressors, PCBs, thermostats, and motors among many others. The industry has grown continuously with the export value of over US$ 5 billion. In 2018, Thailand has the highest export value second to China and produces almost 100% of important parts without relying on importing products. In 2017, Thailand manufactured 13.8 million units of air compressor, half of which was dedicated to export. Many foreign companies are also aware of Thailand’s potential as a manufacturing base for world export and thus, invested in development and technology transfer making Thailand one of the world’s most important manufacturers for famous local and international brands as well as OEMs or Original Equipment Manufacturers.”

Thailand’s major exporting markets for electrical and electronics products are Asia and the Middle East which share 63.20% of the total market. Thailand is the 4th rank of exporting goods to Indonesia after China, Singapore and Japan. In 2018 Indonesia mainly relies on importing air conditioners from Thailand about 296.31 million US$ which is the 1St rank. Therefore Indonesia importers and distributors are welcome to Bangkok RHVAC 2019 and Bangkok E&E 2019. “For importers, Bangkok RHVAC 2019 and Bangkok E&E 2019 will be a significant channel to meet manufacturers and purchase products at the factory price. Meanwhile, the fairs provide opportunities for the Indonesian manufacturers to present products to worldwide buyers,” concluded Mr. Chanthapat.
