I. Tips dan Panduan Untuk Melakukan Presentasi

a. Persiapan yang matang.
The meaning of this is that …, Tetapi: This means that …).
g. Berbicaralah dengan jelas dan perlahan. Perhatikan nada intonasi, sela antara kalimat.
n. Latihan

My name is Tim Mason, I‘m a retail consultant, and many of you will have seen me shadowing you in your jobs and looking through the accounts and so on in the company over the last week. I’ve invited you here today to have a look at my findings. First, I’d like to have a look at the performance of the company, the sales of the company over the last three years; then I’d like to have a look at our market share in the womenswear market and look at our competitors; and thirdly, I’d like to suggest some improvements in our range of womenswear. At the end I’d be happy to answer any of your questions.”

C. “Welcome / “Hello everyone.”

“As you all know, this company is losing its market share. But we are being asked to increase sales by 20 – 25%. How can we possibly increase sales in a shrinking market?”

“Today I am going to talk to you about how we can do this. My presentation will be in three parts. Firstly I am going to look at the market and the background. Then I am going to talk to you about our new products and how they fit in. Finally, I’m going to examine some selling strategies that will help us increase our sales by 20%. The presentation will probably take around 20 minutes. There will be time for questions at the end of my talk.”

2. Bagian Pertengahan: Jantung Presentasi Bisnis

• This leads me to my next point…
• Let’s consider…
• Now, let’s take a look at…
Right, let’s move on to…
This leads me to my next point, which is…
I’d now like to look at / consider…
Now I will pass you over to /hand over to Max Mustermann.
Does anyone have any questions before I move on?
• Now let’s move on to … .
• Now let’s take a look at … .
• Now I’d like to move on to … .
• Next I’d like to take a look at … .
• Moving on to the next part, I’d like to … .
• Moving on to the next section, let’s take a look at … .
• Let’s take a look at some of the implications of this.
Taking into consideration what we have said about X, we can see that Y …
The main reason for these actions is …
We have to keep in mind that … when we consider …
As a result of X, Y will …
• Let me begin by explaining why / how …
• First / Now I want to talk about …

• As mentioned
• As we saw earlier
• As we touched on earlier
• As I mentioned earlier … .
• As we saw earlier … .
• You may recall that we said … .
• You may recall that I explained … .
• “As I said at the beginning…”
“This, of course, will help you (to achieve the 20% increase).”
“As you remember, we are concerned with…”
“This ties in with my original statement…”
“This relates directly to the question I put to you before…”

Contoh:

• Many companies advertise with Google. (Kurang kuat/kurang menarik)
• 84% of Fortune 500 companies advertise with Google. (Kuat/Menarik)

As you can see from this graph representing …
If you could just take a look at …
Looking at X we can see that …
Let me use a graphic to explain this.
The graphic shows that …
As you can see (in the picture) …
In the next / following picture, you can see …
Here is another picture.
The next picture shows how …
Let the pictures speak for themselves.
I think the picture perfectly shows how / that …
Now, here you can see …
“This graph shows you…”
“Take a look at this…”
“If you look at this, you will see…”
“I’d like you to look at this…”
“This chart illustrates the figures…”
“This graph gives you a break down of…”
“As you can see…”
“This clearly shows …”
“From this, we can understand how / why…”
“This area of the chart is interesting…”

Menarik kesimpulan atas suatu sub-topik, kita bisa katakan:

It was a great success for …
It is a very important day in the history of …
It was / is a very important / special event.
This proves that …
The reason is that …
The result of this is that …
It’s because …
In other words, …
I want to repeat that …
I’d (just) like to add …

• To put these numbers into context…
• That equals…
• That is the equivalent of…
• That is equivalent to…
Contoh:

“84% of Fortune 500 companies advertise with Google. That is the equivalent of the national revenues of China and India, combined.”
• To demonstrate this…
• This shows/ proves…
• To illustrate this…
• This graph highlights…

Contoh:

This graph demonstrates the relationship between new technologies and increased stock values. Further, this next graph shows that when companies spend three months marketing their new technology, their stock value increases at a higher rate than with no marketing at all.

Memberi Contoh:
• For instance…
• Consider…
• A good example of this is…

Menyebutkan Masalah-masalah:
Obviously, this has led to some problems with …
Unfortunately, this means that …
As a direct result of X, we are having problems with Y…
This also causes …

Membuat daftar Pilihan-pilihan:

There are a number of alternatives in this case. We can …
If we had … , we would …
Had we … , we could have … Do we need to X or Y?
I think we can clearly see that we can either … or …
We have been considering …
What if we …

Mengusulkan Solusi

The solution to X is …
I suggest we …
Based on … the answer is to …
If we keep in mind that … , Y is the best solution to our problem.
So, how does this all relate to X?
How long will this take to implement?
How much is this all going to cost?
